MEC are an integral part of the Project Management Team (PM), providing Pre and Post contract Cost Consultancy (QS) services on the ongoing redevelopment of one of the most prestigious schools in Muscat.
The BSM project has been running for a number of years and in now approaching its 4/5 phase. Our openness, transparency and long term value has been positively received by the Client who has retained our services over many years.
Construction is procured by tender from select tender lists. Given the sensitive nature of the site, only contractors with a track record of both performance, integrity, exceptional safety systems and who could also demonstrate consistent quality for similar sized projects are considered.

Located within the Wahaiba Sands desert of Oman, the Outward Bound Desert Centre provides a central focus and gathering space for the Outward Bound Program. The design is focused around a protected central courtyard, connecting people with the environment. The center provides essential facilities to support challenges and research in unfamiliar settings. The facility gives careful consideration to materiality, climate, context and accommodation requirements Protection from the elements by day is provided whilst a view of the uninterrupted sky is enjoyed by night. Developed in close collaboration with the client.
Majan Engineering Consultants (MEC) were engaged to carry out the PMC and QS services. This included General Services, Design Stage Services, Tender and Consultants Procurement Services, together with Construction delivery monitoring.
The development and construction was aligned with the RIBA outline plan of works 2007 and encompassed elements of green technology.
